To do your part this winter to reduce your carbon footprint you can shovel snow manually. Avoid the noisy, exhaust-churning snow blower and get some exercise!

Round Two of the PGO Student Intiated Grants
Again this year, the ARHS Parent Guardian Organization is awarding grants of up to $1,000 to students to implement creative and innovative ideas that will benefit the ARHScommunity.  Follow the link here or under Clubs on the ARHS website.

Complete the  Student-Initiated Grant Application  and email it to Terry Ominsky .

Seniors:  Remember that there will be a FAFSA completion night on January 19.  If you or your parents need help completing this necessary financial aid form, please register at and remember to come!!  .   Bring your laptop or tablet with you.  Check the website for a list of documents to bring. 

Best Buddies will be held on Tuesday 1/10/2017 in the PIP Classroom at 3:00.

The International  Students Club is meeting on Monday (today) after school in room 172.
Come plan activities for 2017!

P.O.C.U. is sponsoring a Food Drive to benefit the Amherst Survival Center - for the entire month of January.
Students, staff and Faculty please contribute dry or canned food items.  Collection boxes are outside of Guidance Office  and in room 168.

It's musical season!  Anything Goes is about to set sail, and we want you on board!  
ALL TECHIES - including prospective costumers, builders, sound, light, makeup, props, you name it - should plan on attending a mandatory meeting this Monday from 3-3:45 in the auditorium.  Set builders will stay until 5:00.  No experience necessary at all for any of this.

ALL PERFORMERS - We'll meet for the first time on stage on Tuesday from 3-5:15 Newcomers - including those that did not audition - are welcome to attend and join.  Be ready to sing and dance right off the bat!

Writing Center Extended Hours

The Writing Center in room 141 will be open late after school until 3:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and just in time for finals! You can get writing support anytime by dropping by room 141 or making an advance appointment online.  Reduce the stress of exams by planning ahead and getting the support you need. Stop by the Writing Center to work on anything from planning an outline to reviewing your final draft, double checking your citations to nailing those topic sentences. Hope to see you soon!

Dance Theatre Concert 'Sensory Awareness' Jan. 13 and 14 at 7:30 in the ARHS auditorium. Tickets at the door.

Bomba Formal Concert Wednesday Jan. 11 at 7:30 in the Dance Studio. Admission is free.
