Tonight,Thursday, Jan 19th is FAFSA Night.  If you want professional help completing your federal financial aid form, required by all colleges from all students who need aid, you should come, even if you did not sign up in advance.  We will begin at 7:00 sharp in the cafeteria.  Bring a laptop or tablet if you can.

Attention students who are taking the SAT on SaturdayBe sure to take your admission ticket, photo ID, NO. 2 pencils and an approved calculator.  Be sure to check the location of the test on your ticket and get there by 7:45 AM at the latest.  Get a good night's sleep the night before and bring a snack and water to have during the breaks. If you get sick or need to cancel, contact Customer Service at the College Board.

Emails went out to your school email if you have met the eligibility requirement to apply for membership in the National Honor SocietyYou are invited to submit an application to be a 2016-17 ARHS NHS Member. The ARHS Robert Frost Chapter of this organization recognizes students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher and demonstrate excellence in the areas of leadership, character, and service.  

The email you received  contains a classroom code to join the ARHS  NHS Google Classroom.  If you would like to apply for membership to the NHS for this school year, all the information can be found in this classroom. 

NHS meetings are the first Thursday of each month in Room 117 @ 3 p.m. sharp.

Congratulations to both the boys and the girls swim and dive team for their win  against Chicopee Comp last week. The boys us 95/90 and the girls us 100/76. Both teams records are 4-0 Undefeated!!  Go Canes!


Lifeguard Jobs! The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is starting to recruit certified lifeguards for state parks, pools, and beaches in Central and Western Mass including Erving State Park and Lake Wyola.  They also have scholarship opportunities for lifeguard training.  The job is all summer and the pay is $13.26 per hour. See the flyer in Guidance or you can signup for the DCR to contact you to apply.

ALL TECHIES - including prospective costumers, builders, sound, light, makeup, props, you name it - should plan on attending a mandatory meeting this Monday from 3-3:45 in the auditorium.  Set builders will stay until 5:00.  No experience necessary at all for any of this.

ALL PERFORMERS - We'll meet for the first time on stage on Tuesday from 3-5:15 Newcomers - including those that did not audition - are welcome to attend and join.  Be ready to sing and dance right off the bat!

Inspiring Girls Expeditions is accepting applications through January 31, 2017 for free summer science and wilderness expeditions in Alaska and Washington for girls ages 16 to 17.  Spend 12 days exploring and learning about mountain glaciers or fjords with tidewater glaciers. Conduct scientific field studies with professional glaciologists, oceanographers, artists and mountaineers.  They are operated through IARC and the UAF College of Natural Science & Mathematics. See the bulletin board in guidance or go to www.inspiringgirls.org

The Graphic staff will meet for two weeks after school, starting on January 3, to work on laying out our next issue of the school newspaper. Regular staffers and interested students come to room 187 after school, ready to learn/work! See Ms. Barber-Just in room 175 with questions.
