• The Amherst 4^th of July Celebration is looking for volunteers for this year’s festival. If you are interested in contributing to a community event,  filled with fun and festivities, while getting a front row seat to the fireworks,  come assist the Amherst 4^th of July Celebration. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community, and get a behind the scenes look at event-planning, in addition to free food and admission for all volunteers. • Come this year's Student Produced play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike directed by Sophia Schweik. Completely put on by students and one of the last productions of the year; this show is not one to miss! Shows are this Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm and Saturday, May 4th at 2:30pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults. Tickets will be sold at the door and at lunch. Students who receive free or reduced lunch or for whom cost affects their ability to go, talk to Mr.Bechtold!

• Juniors and Sophomores in Honors Chemistry and Honors Biology: 

Friday, May 3 is the last day to register for the June 1 SAT and subject tests with no late fee.  Sign up at collegeboard.org.  It is also the last day to register for the June 8 ACT with no late fee.  Sign up for that one at actstudent.org.  See Miss Garrity for a fee waiver if you are registered for free or reduced price lunch.

• May 1 is the last day you can deposit to reserve your place at a four-year college.  Please make your choice and let your college know before midnight on Wednesday.

• The Amherst Regional High School Chorale will be performing their annual Spring Concert Tonight, April 30 at 7:00 at South Congregational Church. They will perform a wide variety of music spanning their entire school year, including a series of songs at the end of the program that ask questions about issues affecting our everyday lives. The concert is free and open to the public, though a free-will offering will be graciously accepted at the door.
  
• Come to room 114 this Tuesday, 4/30, for the second session of an antisemitism workshop series led by your peers in the Amherst Students Against Antisemitism group. During this session you'll learn about the history of antisemitism and discuss terms related to antisemitism. Come even if you couldn't come last week! There will be snacks!! • AP Chinese Exam -- A practice session will be in Rm 144 at the close of school today only. This is not mandatory, but is encouraged to ensure a smooth administration of the exam. It is a chance to become familiar with the format of the test. Please come. 

• Reminder to Step Up Day Tour Guides  A meeting will happen today, Tuesday 4/23, at the close of school in Rm 202 with Mr. Sadiq.  Please come if you can. If not, you must attend on Thursday (same time and place).  The meeting will be between 15 and 30 minutes long.

• If you are performing or interested in performing at comedy night on May 10th come to the Black Box after school at 2:30.

• This has been an outstanding year for Amherst Regional High School’s JETS Engineering Club. The club entered 6 teams (45 students, grades 9-12) into the national Test of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science (TEAM+S) and won Best in State at both the 9^th/10^th grade and 11^th/12^th grade level.  Our top finishing 11^th/12^th grade team also finished 1^st Nationally in our division. Team members include juniors Chang Jin, Naomi Johnson, Levi Blinder, Mohan Setty-Charity, Nadav Benhamou Goldfaja, Ben Fang, Innis Gallagher, and senior Christina Lee . Our top finishing 9^th/10^th grade team also finished 4^th Nationally in our division. Team members include 10^th graders Rohini Narayanan, Seo-Ho Lee, Sammy Conrad-Rooney, Noah Saxenian, Allison Brau, Shreya Venkataraman, Sierra Triozzi, and Mariam Ahmed. • Jets Club: The Team+S Competition Results are in. Come by Room 223 after school TODAY (Friday Apr 12) for the big reveal (Full National and State Rankings).

• Seniors:  When you make your college choice, please go into your Naviance account and “set” the college you will be attending.  Your college will require your final transcript.  We cannot send it if you don’t tell us where to send it!  Even if you have told us in person, you must put your choice in Naviance.
