Day 2
Drop A
Lunch - E Period

Please see sports scheduled listed below for October 30th -November 4th, 2017
(The sports schedule is listed at the end of today's announcements)

Next week at all lunches Women's Rights Club will be providing space for people to participate in the #MeToo campaign. Come to the table at any lunch to write down your story--these will be anonymously displayed as a work of art around the school the following week. This is an opportunity to share your story and/or learn more about the different forms that harassment takes.

ARHS 3rd French/Francophone Dinner: Come enjoy a night of exciting cultural experience and delicious French cuisine presented by the ARHS French and Culinary Arts students. The cultural show will include students’ research presentations, art exhibits, skits, folk tale presentations, music, singing, dancing, poetry, trivia, a fashion show, and much more! All proceeds will be donated to the French club activity fund. Email Jamie Simonson at simonsonjj@arps.org to buy a ticket today! $10 adults/$5 students/free for kids under 5. Dinner is on Thursday December 7 from 5:30-7:30 pm in the ARHS cafeteria.

There will be a Pre-season Informational Ice Hockey meeting on Monday, November 6th @ 3 p.m. in Room 117.

This is a reminder that Unidos por Puerto Rico is meeting today this week. (We will go back to meeting on our usual day, Tuesday, as of next week).

The Theater Company is excited to present Briefs: a collection of 11 short student-directed plays, full of baseball, dreams, rock bands, and moles. Come see the show this ThursdayFriday, and Saturday at 7:30pm. Tickets are sold at the door: $5 for students/seniors, $8 for adults.

Did you know that total cost of a menstrual period (sanitary products, Advil, etc.) runs up to $20,000 in a lifetime??
Women's Rights Club is running a TAMPON AND PAD drive all month! All donations will benefit the Amherst Survival Center so that hygiene products can be available to all that need it!
Look for the signs and boxes located around the school to donate what you can, starting on Thursday. Donations should be in sealed boxes or packages. Drive will be up until the end of the month.

Seniors:

Remember, Thursday, tonight November 2, is FAFSA Night.  This is the time to get help from financial aid professionals.  Come to the cafeteria before 7:00.  Bring your laptop or tablet.  Bring your parents’ 2016 tax return and all W2s.  Leave well before 9:00 with your FAFSA completed.  Tonight, get FSAIDs  at fafsa.ed.gov, for both you and for your parent(s)

Attention French students:  If you are interested in hosting a French Exchange student from Valence, France next March and April, please stop by room 150 after school on Thursday for a very brief meeting (10 minutes maximum!).  Merci Madame Stankiewicz

Did you know the International Students Club (ISC) meets every Thursday in room 145 at 3:00? New members always welcome!

ISC is still collecting donations for UNICEF, the United Nations International Children's Fund.  You can donate and make a difference by placing any amount into the orange Trick-or-Treat collection boxes.
