Are you interested in learning more about fun and well paying careers in Engineering and Computer Science? See Ms. Blauner in Room 223 after school for more information about an all-day field trip on Monday October 24 to attend UMass Amherst's  "Women in Engineering and Computing Career Day for High School Girls."
  • Calling all students!  The fall deadline for completed applications is is around the corner, on Friday, October 11th! Do you have a great idea for an activity or innovation that will benefit the ARHS community?  Need money to make it happen?  The ARHS PGO offers $200 grants to students twice a year & the next deadline is coming up soon.  The PGO has helped to the Cambodian Heritage mural, instruments for Summit Academy, water bottle fillers, and more! You will find the current application form on the clubs page of the ARHS website.
  • Class Election News: During advisory, this week the Sophomore and Junior classes will be electing the class council leadership.  Election statements will be available for your review, Monday (10/7), Tuesday (10/8)  and Wednesday (10/9) during lunch. The Senior Class slate is running unopposed, therefore there is not a need for an election. Ninth graders who signed up at the Activities Fair will be contacted by their Advisor. Questions can be directed, by email, to Mrs. Haygood.
  • Attention all Seniors: Student Council is hoping to begin the process of designing and ordering senior T-shirts.  We ask that anyone interested in designing the Class of 2020 senior shirt send their design to Aarti Lamberg (lambergac@arps.org) or Walter Tebbetts (tebbettswt@arps.org) by Friday October 18th.  (Contact Aarti or Walter with questions.)
  • Not School Sponsored: Curious to know what's going on in the Middle East right now? Interested in the Trump administration's foreign policy decisions? This Thursday (10/10), come to The New York Room at Mary Woolley Hall, Mount Holyoke from 7-9 pm for a chance to hear from renowned experts on US Foreign Policy in the Middle East, an event put on by Critical Connections and Mount Holyoke's IR department. Contact Hanna Hartman, Amelia McMahan, or Ms. Camera for more information.
  • Join us this Thursday (10/10) evening for the Performing Arts Departments annual Fall Gala - a generous evening of short performances across our programs in music, theater, and dance.  All performances take place across four venues in the performing arts wing - and each performance lasts 10 minutes or less.  And - it's free to all!  See you at 6:30 this Thursday.
  • Did you turn in a Chromebook to be repaired in the last few weeks? Good news! We have a big stack of repaired Chromebooks in the library that are hoping to be reunited with their rightful owners. Please check your email ASAP to see if your repaired device is ready for you, or stop by to ask in person anytime this week! As a reminder to ALL STUDENTS, the library loaner Chromebooks and chargers are ONLY available for in-library use or to students turning in a Chromebook to be repaired. We do not have additional loaners for students to check out.
