October 23rd is photo retake day for any students and staff who did not have their picture taken for their I.D.

Tuesday 10/17: It’s almost time to get this party startled...Be sure to come to the Halloween Dance Friday, October 20th, 7-10 PM.  Games, costume contest with a winning prize valued at $30 to spend at GLAZED DONUTS and DANCING!!!!!!!!!  Tickets available at lunch.  $3 at lunch/$5 at the door.

Best Buddies is having a chapter meeting today at 3pm in room 167. Come join us to make some new friends. Today we'll be making caramel apples! Best Buddies is an international organization dedicated to fostering friendships between individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. Come to room 167 at 3 today to see what it's all about! 


Seniors:   If you are interested in Westfield State University, and if you have pretty good grades but have test scores that might not be as good, think about going on a field trip to the Open House program on Thursday, November 16, during school, to learn about their excellent Urban Education program.  It includes a free credit-bearing summer program and a support system for students during all four years of college.  If this sounds good to you, please see Mrs. Cappelli to put your name on a list of interested students.


Seniors: Very few of you have signed up for the November 2 FAFSA completion evening.  If you even think you might attend, please go to fafsaday.org and sign up – TODAY!

Are you interested in social justice? Would you like to do some anti-racism work? Would you like to help out in an urgent humanitarian crisis? Then come make a difference for the people of Puerto Rico, many of whom, as you read this, are going hungry and have no clean water to drink! We will be doing hands-on, relevant work that will make a difference. Please join us tomorrow and every Tuesday at 3:00 PM in room 146 (Ms. Vicente's).

It is time to sign-up for the Fifty-fifth Annual Mathematics Olympiad Competition that takes place on Thursday, October 19th  during Blocks B and C.   For details or to sign up see your math teacher or come to the math office in room 221.   There are 30 slots available first come, first serve.   Visit the website http://www.maml.org to see past competition questions and solutions. 


Come support the ARHS Chorale by eating homemade lasagna and hearing some great music during their annual Lasagna Dinner on October 19th! Seatings are at 5, 6, and 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students, staff, and seniors, and $12 for other adults. The earlier seatings may come close to selling out; you can reserve your spot by purchasing them in advance during lunch through Thursday.
