Valentine’s Day is coming soon! Buy a carnation for someone special at all lunches until Valentine’s Day. The flowers will be priced at 1 for 2$ and 2 for 3$. Custom messages allowed.   “What in tranation, I just got a carnation from canes nation!”

Join the Symphonic Orchestra for an evening of post-Valentine’s waltzing on February 15.  Starting at 6:45, the waltz will be taught by Mr. Z-A, and from 7:30-8:30 there will be open dancing.  Location is at the Emmanuel Lutheran church, 687 N. Pleasant St. Donations at the door: $6/$4 if you come dressed semi-formally.

Community college placement testing today(Thursday)
Seniors planning to attend community college next year as well as underclass students who are interested in taking the GCC@ARHS* classes next year  should plan to take the Acu-placer test. For your convenience, placement tests will be given on Feb 8th(today)and 13thhere at ARHS, beginning at 2:30 in Rm 202.  The amount of time needed varies from person to person, so a good idea is to come on the 8th and if you need more time, you can finish up on the 13th.

     *ENG 101 English Composition I: Expository Writing – 3 credits  and   SOC 101 Principles of Sociology – 3 credits are the offerings next year for GCC@ ARHS.

Please get your registration checks in for the TEAM+S competition. We want to make sure all 9 (NINE!)  teams get registered. Contact Ms. Blauner to request a fee waiver, or drop off a check (or cash) to Room 223... $30 made out to ARHS-JETS with your name in the memo line.

Outing Club will offer a day hike this Sunday, February 11th. We will climb to the summit of Mount Toby to enjoy the view from the fire tower. This is an open hike, all are welcome. Stop by room 225 to pick up a permission form. There will be a pre-trip information meeting right after school today, (Thursday_  in room 225.

The Farm & Garden camp at Hampshire College has paid Counselor-In-Training positions available.
