IMPORTANT MCAS ANNOUNCEMENT:

If you were scheduled to take MCAS last week and missed any testing session, please see Mrs. Tracy in room 309 TODAY regarding make-up dates and locations.

Students who are interested in taking a college class next year, while still in high school, will need to apply to do so.  An information session is being held immediately after school on MONDAY, APRIL 9th in Room 112.  Applications will be available at that meeting and are due on Friday of that week (just before the break).

The sands of change in Middle Eastern foreign policy are shifting so rapidly today it can be difficult to keep up with the Trump Administration’s approach in this critical region and hold our government accountable. This Wednesday, April 4th, join Critical Connections in a conversation with two leading experts, Professors David Mednicoff and Osamah Khalil as they discuss trends in Middle Eastern foreign policy right now. Talk to your social studies teacher about extra credit for attending this event. Free and open to the public.

The end of season gathering will take place on Wednesday, April 11 - 6 p.m. in the cafeteria
It is a Potluck-
Varsity and JVA - please bring a main dish.
JVB and Cheerleaders - please bring a dessert.

Prom permission slips are available to be picked up during E lunches this week.
Please read the details and plan accordingly.
Prom ticket sales begin on May 10th, with the deadline for purchase on May 24th at 3:00pm.

Seniors - We need to know what you've heard from the colleges you applied to.  Most of you know by now.
Please take a few minutes to go in Naviance, colleges tab, colleges I'm applying to and click on a yellow edit pencil. 
It makes your whole list come up and you can put results for all them at one time.
Please do this ASAP.

If you're sure what school you are attending, set that, too. Or, we can do it together in Guidance!

Seniors - The deadline for the local scholarships in the Scholarship Booklet is Monday, April 2nd at 3:30.

Remember to send individual emails to scholarships@arps.org for each one.

Got talent?  Calling all staff and student acts for the 2018 talent show! Auditions will be held in room 145 from 3-4PM on today April 2nd.  Please sign-up for an audition slot outside room 145 this week!

Latina or Latino writers in 11th or 12th grade - The Daniel Sonntag Creative Writing Contest was established in honor of a young man who went to ARHS but was unable to graduate due to a tragic car accident.  Submit any poem, play, essay or other creative writing to the Guidance office by May 1st. The award is $300. 
(Seniors - note the date change.  The scholarship booklet says April 1st)
