  • Seniors! January 15th is another college deadline. Polish those college essay apples. Join Ms. Lewis and Ms. Cuffee-Gray in the Writing Center after school today.
    Also, double check to be sure you have requested transcripts (colleges and scholarships) and recommendation in Naviance.
  • What is a better way to celebrate being done with finals then coming to WinterfestThursday, January 16th from 7-10pm. Tickets are $6 at lunch and $8 at the door. Underclassmen can attend by upperclassmen invite only! Tickets will be sold starting today until Tuesday during all lunches. 
  • Looking to make a difference? Want to tackle and understand the different social issues that are challenging our community today? Want to become an advocate and be a leader within your community? Think about becoming a Restorative Justice Practitioner at ARHS. RJ Course will begin 2nd semester during G Period on Days 2, 4 and 6. Come make a difference in our community. If you are interested please fill out interested form and let's begin the journey for change.  RJ Course Signup  or come by Rm 135 (RJ Class).   
  • Scholarship Opportunity Class of 2021 & 2022 (You must meet with Ms. Cuffee-Gray to be eligible for a nomination. Sign up in the Guidance Office with Ms. Garrity) Students with a GPA of 2.5-4.0. The Christian A. Herter Memorial Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to Commonwealth of Massachusetts students who demonstrate academic promise and aspirations for higher education.  This is an extremely competitive scholarship that requires significant extracurricular and personal accomplishments, having overcome significant obstacles, two teacher recommendations, a school counselor recommendation and an essay. Due February 7th.   Applicants must also demonstrate hardships/obstacles overcome and accomplishments in the following areas: 1) Special Skills 2) Leadership Qualities 3) Relative Maturity 4) Personal Difficulties 5) Motivation 6) Enthusiasm 7) Capacity for Growth 8) Academic Promise 9) Community Outreach and Involvement.  
  • Are you interested in being a part of an immersive theater experience especially tailored just to you? Do you enjoy a little theatrical danger and suspense? Sign up to be an audience member for "The Order of the Oleander" - a final project for the Theater For a New Audience class. This link for applications is also available here - and on the ARHS performing arts website.  Sign up by the end of the day Friday to for your chance to be involved.
  • Juniors and Seniors who plan to pursue careers as physicians and who have strong science skills are encouraged to apply for the Hampshire District Medical Society Doctor for a Day program. Selected students will have a chance to share the expertise of a physician mentor in the daily practice of medicine through a day-long shadowing program. The deadline to apply is January 30th. Applications are available in Guidance.
