Whether you know a lot about what is happening due to the Syrian civil war, or very little, we have a rare and valuable opportunity TODAY, Monday, Oct. 2,, to hear from one of the Syrians directly affected by this international humanitarian crisis.  He is eager to speak with high school students.  His name is Mazen al-Hamada and he is one of the thousands who have been imprisoned and brutally mistreated by the Syrian government.  He is one of the fortunate in that he has lived to tell the world of these injustices.  He now lives in exile and works closely with human rights lawyers to free the thousands still detained and bring the Syrian gov't to int'l courts for crimes against humanity.  Come to room 325 right after school on Monday.   Come listen to this important story.

The first meeting of the legendary ARHS Art Club will be Tuesday, October 3rd after school in 210.
