The International Students Club will meet in room 145 at 3 PM today!!

"Tomorrow is the last day of ARHS Spirit Week!  Friday is "Canes Day!" Dress in white or maroon, or wear Amherst apparel! Check in during your lunch at the table in the cafeteria to earn a point for your class.  You can also either bring in a dollar for hurricane relief OR bring in a can to be donated to the Amherst Survival Center to earn an additional point.  The winning class will be announced next week!

Calling all writers! If you write short stories, poetry, novels, essays, and/or memoirs, we want you! The ARHS Writers Society is holding an introductory meeting next Monday, October 2nd at 3:00pm OUTSIDE on the benches near the bike rack. (Regular meetings will be in Rm 141). Come and get all the details (and snacks)! If you have plans, cancel them! And if you really can’t make it, contact Sophia at fangsy@arps.org and Kayara at hardnettka@arps.org for more information.

Attention all students taking the October 7th SAT.  The College Board now requires that all cell phones be collected before the test and returned when you leave.  If you don't want your cell phone collected and put in a box with others, don't bring it!

Do you have unfulfilled creative passions? Does your life need more art in it?  Come to the first meeting of the ARHS Art Club after school on Tuesday, October 3rd in room 210.

Are you an aspiring writer? Do you crave the thrill of terrifying an audience with your weird and wonderful prose? Do you dream of ticking clocks, swinging pendulums, and black cats?
If any or all of those sentences describe you, submit your most horrifying, mysterious, or frightful story to Amherst Books’ first ever Halloween Scary Story Contest! Send your best scary story to this address: michael@amherstbook.com by October 21st along with your name, the school you attend, and your grade/year. The winners will be announced in store on Halloween at 7pm. The top five story finalists will be read aloud to the delight and horror of all, and the winner will receive a most shocking prize. All stories should be under 5000 words and you must be in store on the the night of the event to receive your prize.

If you're interested in finding out more about the new cheer squad at ARHS come to a meeting Thursday October 5th at 3:00 in room 117 and/or see Linette (Honey) Rosado.

Attention Juniors! All juniors should take the PSAT!! You have until this Friday to sign up.  Bring $17 to the Guidance Office - that's it! If you are on free or reduced lunch just sign up.

Sophomores are welcome to take it, too. Deadline is this this Friday, September 29th.
All vehicles parked on campus are required to have parking permits.
Staff may pick up parking permits at the Main Office.
Students come to room 168, pick up and fill out Parking Permit Application, submit with copy of registration, driver's license, and $75 check.
All vehicles need to have permits by this Friday, September 29th or risk being towed next week.

Retrieving a towed vehicle will cost approximately $125.

Do you want to join a club, have fun, and make great new friends? Come to Best Buddies! Best Buddies is an international organization dedicated to fostering friendships between individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have a lot of fun activities planned for this year. Come to the interest meeting today (9/26) at 3pm in room 167 and see what it's all about!
