  • The deadline to register for PSATs is Monday, October 1 at 3 PM or before that if we run out of tests.  Cost is $16, cash or check. The test is offered to juniors and sophomores. The fee is waived for juniors (only juniors, not sophomores) who qualify for free/reduced fees. Even if you qualify for a fee waiver, you are not registered until you indicate your intention to take the test.  Registration is available in the Guidance office, in Rm 207 and Rm 309. 
  • Upcoming Conditioning Program - If you have signed up for the fall conditioning program, come to an informational meeting this Thursday, September 27th!  Time:  3 p.m.  Room: 112 If you haven't signed up, but would like more information, you are more than welcome to join the meeting and ask questions.  See you all then!
  • SENIORS: Remember to get a pass to and from a college visit before your class starts!If you have tried to attend a visit and the representative did not show, it does not count against your excused absences from class.
  • Best Buddies will have their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 25th from  3:00pm-3:45pm in Room 167.  Best Buddies is an international organization dedicated to building friendships and reducing social isolation for people of all abilities.  If you like fun and friendship, this is the perfect club for you!   • First (informational) meeting of Engineering club on Thursday 27th at 3.00 in room 189. We will discuss project ideas and meeting days.
  • SENIORS:  It's time to make sure your Naviance log-ins are working. Please take a moment to log-in to be sure you can access your account.

    By Friday, September 28th, all 12th grade students are expected to have signed in successfully to their Naviance accounts. If you have trouble doing this, please stop in to guidance for help or a password reset before the end of September.  (Your Advisory lesson on October 4th depends on you having completed this step.)
    • Calling all students!  Do you have a great idea for an activity or innovation that will benefit the ARHS community?  Need money to make it happen?  The ARHS PGO offers $200 grants to students twice a year.  The PGO has helped to fund display cabinets for student art in the school lobby, the Cambodian Heritage mural, instruments for Summit Academy, Consent Week, and more. 
      You will find the current application form on the clubs page of the ARHS website. Please note that the fall deadline for completed applications is Friday October 12th!
    • Student Parking Permit Applications are now available in the Deans Office, room 168.Seniors have first priority.Juniors who are school choice, have work study, internships or college courses during the school day may also apply.You must submit a completed application with your parent/guardian signature, a check for $75 made out to ARHS and bring in your license and registration for verification.Student Parking Spaces are in the rear of the main parking lot, denoted by white lines. Students may not park in Staff Parking which are in the front of the main parking lot with yellow lines.                                                                                                                                                       *All vehicles parked on school grounds must have current parking permits by September 28th or risk being towed.*

    • PLEASE NOTE the following change in the college visit process:

    • Students should get passes from Guidance for their visits the day before or the morning of the visit, then give that pass to their teacher. 

      Note that seniors get 3 free passes, and after the 3, it will be counted as unexcused absence from class.
