  • Come hear the ARHS Hurricane Singers perform in their Spring Concert on Thursday, May 8th! They're excited to share some musical highlights from their year, including an assortment of a cappella, folk, classical and gospel music. This year, there will be a cookout fundraiser before, featuring hamburgers (and veggie burgers) and a burger bar, and plenty of delicious side dishes! Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students and staff. The cookout will run from 5:30-6:30 outdoors near the cafeteria, and the concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the atrium by the library. Hope to see you there!
  • AP Test Takers:  Your exam location will be listed on the small whiteboard in the Main Lobby, and outside of Room 207. Please report to your exam location 1/2 hour before the start time. Don't be late (especially for the World Language AP exams...sound checks).  Get a great night's rest the night before. Eat well and bring a snack for the break! Good luck!!
  • Attention ARHS Boys Soccer Players: If you are planning to play summer soccer please make sure you or your parents/guardians fill out the paperwork today or tomorrow!  If you have any questions write to Ms. Camera cameras@arps.org or see her in room 312 right after school. 
  • Bomba/Jazz Combined Concert this Wednesday at 7:00 on the stage in the ARHS auditorium. Free!
  • Come to room 114 this Tuesday, 5/7, for the final session of an antisemitism workshop series led by your peers in the Amherst Students Against Antisemitism group. During this session we'll discuss how communities and governments can respond to hate, and future action against antisemitism in our area. Come even if you haven't been before! There will be snacks!! Contact Eva Weintraub (weintraubeh@arps.org) with any questions.
  • The Amherst Public Shade Tree Committee would like to invite any interested teens to our Second Saturday Tree Plantings. Our next one is this Saturday May 11th from 9-noon at Colonial Village. 
    Bring gardening gloves & your favorite shovel if you have one, but not necessary.  Most importantly its about getting everyone involved! (look for the big yellow truck.   • Attentions Junior - We are looking for 2 juniors who would like to be Marshals at graduation.  You will be leading 2 sections of seniors in and out of the Mullins Center during that time.  If you are interested, or you have questions, please see or email Mrs. Haygood by the end of the day on Friday May 10.
  • The organization, "Girls With Impact" is offering a summer online teen girls entrepreneurship program, typically costing $2,000 but being offered to our students for $35.00. This is an exciting opportunity which allows for flexibility and time for other summer commitments. The mission of the Girls With Impact program is to create the next generation of female leaders. More information can be found in the guidance office, so stop by and pick up a packet to learn more!
  • Seniors: Most of you, including more than a few who made your college decision months ago, have not done the Naviance deed that will send your final transcript where you want it to go.  In “Colleges I’m Applying To,” look for the word “attending” and choose your college.  That’s all there is to it
  • I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Come to the School Store after school and get some scoops. 
  • Seniors...there will be voting for faculty marshals, student marshals and graduation speaker in lunch TODAY!  BE SURE TO VOTE!!!
