reduced lunch and you have not yet ordered a yearbook and would like one,

- Looking for a volunteer
opportunity?
Hello!
We are looking for volunteers to help with
composting and recycling for the Taste of Amherst which runs
this June 13-15 (Thursday - Saturday) The Taste of Amherst,
a town tradition organized by the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce,
is a festival which features a showcase of over twenty local restaurants. The
goal of compost coaches is to reduce landfilled waste footprint of this event,
which sees thousands of visits annually. Volunteers help people sort and
educate visitors about the importance of recycling, composting, and reducing
landfilled waste. Last year, with just 30 volunteer "compost coaches"
of all ages, we recycled and composted approximately 14 times more volume than
we put into the landfill - a grand success! This year, we are looking to
do the same, or better. Please forward this information and the following
link to potential volunteers/ members of your organization and encourage them
to sign up as soon as possible!! We will teach volunteers everything
they need to know - no need for any previous knowledge.
Volunteers can sign up for one or more 2-hour
slots. All volunteers will receive a free cookie, drink, and gift from a local
business TBA.
