    • Do you like making and eating Chili? The Class of 2020 will be hosting a Chili Cook-Off on March 15th from 6-7:30pm! Come to the ARHS cafeteria to enjoy a night of fine chili tasting with entertainment provided by Conjunto De Bomba and the Hurricane Singers! Tickets are $5 for students, staff, and seniors, and $10 for adults. For $5 contestants will prepare homemade chili and attend the event for free. Each chili will be tasted by a series of ARHS teachers who will award prizes for the best chili’s! If you are interested in entering or attending please contact Aarti Lamberg (Lambergac@arps.org) or Walter Tebbetts. Bring the Heat!
    • Did you know that there is course registration assistance in Rm 141 during the lunch period every day this week?  Please remember to sit down, log-in to PowerSchool and enter your requests some time this week.
    • Seniors, you will receive the Reality Fair permission slip in Advisory Today! Please return the completed and signed form to guidance or room 207 no later than Monday March 11th. Remember to complete the information on the link you were sent before break, and earlier this week. You must return to signed permission slip and complete the information online before Monday March 11th, or you will NOT be able to attend the Reality Fair on March 21st. Please contact Mrs. Ross or Mr. Sadiq if you have any questions.
    • Career Day: Happens Today during Advisory. All 10th & 11th graders, you can find out which room you will be in for that Advisory by looking at the lists on the bulletin board in the main lobby, or on the wall next to the elevator on the 2nd floor. At Advisory time on Thursday, report directly to the room you will be in that day. Attendance will be taken there. Do NOT go to your Advisory, unless it happens to be the room you’re assigned to. This is a great opportunity to learn about different careers. Be prepared to ask questions.

    • This summer, GCC will offer the STEM Starter Academy, and it is open to high school students! Take a FREE college course in science, technology, engineering, or math! This academy will offer college credit, advising, tutoring, career support, and TONS of hands-on STEM activities. To apply, go to gcc.mass.edu/stem !! Flyers available in Guidance.

We'll focus on how to break down research questions--and create some of our own--in this fun and informal workshop open to all students. Questions? Pop by the Writing Lab or the Library to learn more!
    • The deadline to register for AP exams is this coming Friday, March 1. Bring your check or cash ($95.00 per exam) to the Guidance office and sign your name in the notebook on the page with the name of the exam you wish to take at the top.  Friday's deadline is firm.
