The counseling department is hosting a Google meet space from 8:00-3:00 on Nov 4th for students to drop in as needed or desired to talk through their thoughts related to the election in a safe and supportive space. Students can join this Google meet by going to the "Meet" link in their Google apps and typing in ARHSelectionsupport

  • The Theater Company is having AUDITIONS for a Zoom-based production of She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen will be held this Tuesday afternoon and evening.  Auditions are by appointment; you'll need to add your name to a time slot to get time to audition.  We'll use scenes from the script to audition; a reference copy of the script will be made available.  She Kills Monsters is a campy and strangely moving piece about separated siblings and the most eventful Dungeons and Dragons game ever.  Visual artists - especially drawers and animators - are encouraged to check out tech, which will be a key part of our show design. An important pre-audition meeting will be held this Monday at 3:00 at this link: bit.ly/becharhs   We'll discuss the audition process, how to sign up for audition slots, tell you more about the play, and share tech plans as well.  Newcomers are especially welcome!

  • The ARHS Theater Company continues its 3-play season this fall of COVID theater-making by inviting you this weekend to Everybody, a 90-minute outdoor production at ARHS.  Written just a couple of years ago by Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins, one of the starts of the contemporary black playwrights movement that's helping redefine American theater, Everybody is a strange and delightful play that asks the biggest of questions: how do we want to look back on our lives and how we chose to live them?
Performances are this Saturday and Sunday, with 6pm and 8pm showings. Tickets are only available in advance here.  There will be an audience size limit, and mask-wearing and social-distancing is required.  Find our stage by parking in the athletics lot behind the school.  This is a seated show where we'll ask you to bring your own seat!  A lawn chair or similar might be perfect (although we'll have a few on hand if you need).
