• The MCAS Science and Technology/Engineering tests will be given tomorrow and Wednesday at 7:45 a.m.  Students taking the Chemistry test should remember to bring a calculator (that is not part of another electronic device).  Calculators will be provided to any student who needs one.  Remember, the Biology MCAS does not require calculator use, but you may use one if you choose to. Students not participating in MCAS will have late arrival on both Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:45 a.m

• Ms. Barber-Just's Journalism and LGBTQ Lit classes: today is your field trip to the Sexual Minorities Archive and the Daily Hampshire Gazette! Please meet in the lobby directly after A period to get on the bus!       

• Signed up for AP Environmental Science for next year?  Please attend a meeting after school on Thursday June 6, at 2:30 pm, in room 224 to hear about your summer assignment. If you cannot attend the meeting, please follow up in person with Ms. Larsen (in rm 224)

• Combined 7-12 grade dance concert Tuesday June 4 at 7:00 in the ARHS auditorium. Great dances, lots of talent, and fun!  See Tracy Vernon if you want to help

• Did you sign up to take either AB Calculus or BC Calculus next year? Please attend a meeting afterschool on Tuesday June 4, at 2:30 pm, in room 302 for AB Calc or room 300 for BC Calc to pick up your summer assignment. Also at this meeting, learn about a FREE week long summer program available in July at ARHS, to help you strengthen your prerequisite skills, complete your summer assignment and be ready for AP Calculus in the fall. If you cannot attend the meeting, please follow up with either Mr. Lariviere-Werner or Ms. Oakes (in rm 300/302).

• The Girls Cross Country preseason meeting will be at 3:00 on Wednesday, June 5 at the tree. Whether you are definitely running or just thinking about running this fall, all are welcome!

•  STE MCAS: The Science and Technology/Engineering MCAS will be given to all 10^th grade students at 7:45 a.m. next Tuesday and Wednesday, June 4^th and 5^th.  Students not participating in MCAS will have a late arrival of 9:45 a.m. on both days.  A list will be posted in the front lobby today with test and room assignments.  See Mrs. Tracy in room 309 asap if you have been assigned the wrong test subject. Unlike the ELA and Math MCAS, the STE tests are paper-based, so students will not need Chrome Books.  Calculators are required for the Chemistry MCAS, and students may use their own personal calculators as long as they are not part of another electronic device.  Remember to bring them on testing days.  Calculators will be provided for any student who does not have one.  Calculators are not needed for the Biology MCAS, but students may choose to use one during testing.

Important Note: If you borrowed a chrome book or charger during the Math or ELA MCAS tests, please return it to the room from which it was signed out (either Rm 141 or Rm 309) as soon as possible.  Fees will be assessed for any devices that were borrowed and not returned.

• It’s the biggest issue of the Minks yet! Grab a copy this year’s Minks ARHS literary magazine from the library or anywhere around the school to see some great art and writing from your friends and fellow students. They’re free!

The ARHS Library may be closing for the summer, but the Jones Library will be open! All students are eligible for a free Jones Library card but this is the last day to get signed up during the school day. Stop by the Jones Library table in the cafeteria during lunch to gain access to hundreds of thousands of books, movies, music, museum passes, instruments, digital devices, and more! • Any student interested in applying for a tech leadership position with the Theater Company for 2019-2020 should check in with Mr. Bechtold about applying by this Friday.  Bring any questions you have, too!

• Volunteers Needed to Give Student Tours at Open House on August 22, 2019.
  Interested in welcoming our new students and showing them around at the Open House at the end of summer? Please add your name to the list in the Guidance Office.  9th graders, you are especially encouraged to consider doing this, since you probably remember what it was like last year to be new and how helpful a friendly tour guide can be. (Adding your name to the list is not a commitment; we realize summer plans may not be set yet.) If you add your name to the list, we'll email you to remind you  of the event at the beginning of August, so you can let us know then if you can make it.  All are welcome to sign up!!
