  • The Library- will be closed to lunch students for the foreseeable future. As always, Directed Study students may come to the library with a plan for academic work on passes signed by both an academic teacher and their Directed Study teacher. Students are welcome to speak to Ms. Stocker with any questions or concerns. Thank you for helping to keep the library a respectful and welcoming space for all ARHS students! 
  • Reminder that the deadline to sign up for AP Exams is on Wednesday November 13th. Please bring your payment of $94 to room 207. The reduced fee is $53. Please let Mr. Sadiq know if you have any questions about the fees or exams. Thanks!
  • November 1st is the final deadline for families on free or reduced lunch to request coupon codes for the yearbook! For underclassmen, students on reduced lunch receive a discount of $15 and students on free lunch receive a discount of $25. SENIORS on free OR reduced lunch can receive their yearbooks for FREE. To request a code, please email Crystal Garrity at garrityc@arps.org.
  • Get hyped - it's time to announce this year's WINTER MUSICAL!Come to the auditorium at 2:40 on Friday, November 8 for a brief info meeting to learn about the show, details on how to be involved, and some other key information pertaining to this particular title.Aspiring performers, techies, and pit members should all come.  No idea what this is or if this might be for someone like you?  Yeah - we definitely want you there in particular.
  • Not School Sponsored -Are you an intermediate skier or snowboarder?  Do you like helping people?  If so, consider volunteering with the Mount Snow Adaptive Ski and Snowboarding Program.  You will get all the training you need to assist people with disabilities on the mountain.  The benefits include lifelong friendships and free lift tickets!  Come to the first volunteer training session on Wednesday, November 6th from 2:30-4:30pm in room 312.  Ask Aarti Lamberg, Sora Green, Jonas Camera or Ms. Camera any questions you have about this program.  
  • The Student Advisory Council will meet with Mr. Jones from 2:45 to 3:45 on Monday, November 4th in room 133.

      • Hey everyone - it's your last chance to get tickets for Bing Bong - October 23-26.  Come to a kind of theater you're not going to find anywhere else - theater for an audience of one that makes you the hero of the hour.  We can pretty much guarantee you've never done something like this.  Ticket requests are available at bit.ly/arps-pa or via the department page, findable on the ARHS website.  Hurray!
      • Winter Sports Registration is now OPEN. The deadline is November 29, 2019.
      • The time to register for AP Exams is here. The final deadline, without incurring a $40 late registration fee from the CollegeBoard is November 15th. The full cost of each AP Exam is $94, and the reduced fee is $53. To register for an AP Exam, please bring a check made out to ARHS, or cash to Room 207 by November 11th, we need time to process the orders before the final deadline. It is important to know that after November 15th, the CollegeBoard also charges a $40 cancelation fee if you change your mind about taking the AP Exam you registered for. Please contact Mr. Sadiq if you have any questions. 
      • Student Advisory Council will meet on TODAY(10/18),  at 2:45 in room 239.  If you can't make it, please check in with Mr. Thompson.
      • Class of 2021 is having its next meeting Monday(10/21) @ 2:30 in room 117.
      • The Minks submissions box is open for the year to all ARHS students! If you’re interested in getting published in the official ARHS literary magazine, email your writing to minks@arps.org. All student writing is accepted!
      • Feeling festive?  FBLA and Student Union are hosting a Pumpkin Art Competition for all clubs and teams after school on Wednesday, October 23rd (early release day).  The cost is $15 per club or team (this covers the pumpkin and painting supplies).  Winning club or team gets a free breakfast! Captains and presidents should contact Niamh Gray-Mullen (gray-mullenne@arps.org) or Hanna Hartman (hartmanjl@arps.org) BY MONDAY 10/21 to sign your group up. For more information you can also contact Mrs Sulikowski (sulikowskim@arps.org).  
      • Looking to make a difference? Want to tackle and understand the different social issues that are challenging our community today? Want to become an advocate and be a leader within your community? Think about becoming a Restorative Justice Practitioner at ARHS. Please consult the calendar in the back of the College Planning Handbook for additional opportunities and deadlines. Generally, transcript and recommendation request deadlines are three weeks prior to the deadline.

      • Join the International Students Club for a meeting TODAY! We'll be planning for future events and running an activity about water--we can't tell you more or we'll ruin the surprise! Meet at 2:30 in the library (don't worry we'll be done before practices). We will have fall themed snacks.
      • Class of 2021 is having it's first bake sale this Thursday(10/17). Please come and support and buy some goodies.

      • The Sene-Gambian Scholars club will hold an informational meeting for students and parents about the spring trip to West Africa TODAY at 6 p.m. in the library. Come and learn more about this life-changing experience.
      • If you are taking the Math Olympiad, please report to room 301 at the beginning of A block on Thursday, 10/17/19.
