MCAS tests will be given to all 10th grade students at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow and Thursday. Remember: students not participating in MCAS testing will have late arrival on Wednesday and Thursday, and should report to school at 10:45 a.m. on both days. Students may use calculators (that are not part of another electric device) during the second day of testing, so if you have one, please remember to bring it on Thursday. Calculators will be provided for students who do not have their own.
There will be no access to lockers during testing time, but students may bring school work or books in a subject area other than Mathematics to work on after they have completed and handed in their testing materials. Remember: be sure to get a good night’s rest, and eat a healthy breakfast each morning! Also, staff and students will have no access to the 3rd floor on Wednesday or Thursday mornings after 7:30 a.m. due to MCAS testing. Please make sure you have everything you need from your locker by the end of the day today or by 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Important Credit Information! If you have exceeded the absence limit, you must schedule an attendance meeting with the help of Susan Zygmont in room 168 (or by calling her at 362-1722). Failure to schedule an attendance meeting will result in a loss of credit for the classes in which you have more than 9 absences (note: every three tardies equal one absence). Do not wait, schedule this meeting asap if this pertains to you since there are limited appointment times available this year.

Dance Concert May 30 at 7:00 in the auditorium. DTE is presenting new choreographies in a variety of styles. There will be only one night of this show. Don't miss out on being inspired through dance.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Singer Soirée is coming up! Come hang out on stage and watch 17 of ARHS’s best singers accompanied by the ARHS jazz combos. Next Thursday, May 31 7pm in the auditorium. $5 students and staff/$8 adults at the door. Refreshments available.

Yearbook pickup for seniors is on Thursday, May 24 after school in room 193. Underclasspeople can pick up their yearbooks on Friday, May 25 after school in room 193. A few extra yearbooks are available starting Tuesday, May 29th after schoolonly to seniors for $50 ($45 for reduced lunch students, $40 for free lunch). After June 1, if there are any extra books left,juniors may purchase them. However, we expect all extra books to sell out quickly. The time to reserve a book was last fall.

Next weekend, high school students from your area school will be featured on the television program, As Schools Match Wits. We’re hoping you can help spread the word about their broadcast television appearance in the semifinals.
On Saturday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m. a team of Amherst Regional High School students will appear on WGBY’s long-running academic quiz show. They will be facing off against the winner of quarterfinal match between Lenox Memorial High and Longmeadow High, airing a half-hour earlier on May 26 at 7 p.m.
