  • SENIORS! Thank you to all of you that have filled out the Reality Fair information online, and returned your permission slip. A reminder for those of you who have not done both of those things yet, the deadline is Thursday March 12th. If the online form is not filled out, and the permission slip isn't returned by the 12th, you will not be able to participate Fair on March 19th. You can get a permission slip in Guidance or Room 207. Another email was sent to the class of 2020 with the link for the online form. Please let Mr. Sadiq know if you have any questions. Thanks
  • Student advisory council will meet after school on Monday 3/9 in Mr. Thompson's room.
  • Do you enjoy playing games and doing puzzles that involve math?  Want to volunteer to help at an elementary school Math Night?  Fort River School is having its Math Night on Thursday March 19 from 5:30 until 7:30 PM and they would LOVE some fun-loving, math-loving high school students to help run the games.  Are you interested?  To participate, you must see Mr. Friedman in room 221 or email him at friedmag@arps.org.  Free pizza!!
  • Juniors: Get a head start on your college essay! Come to the Writing Center on Mondays after school 2:30-3:30. Brainstorm, write, revise, polish. Get one or two essays done before you leave for summer break. Don't Perseverate on the College Essay. Get 'er done
  • Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors! Thinking about summer programs? Summer programs are a great way to learn about careers, pathways, and areas of interest that you have! Some programs have scholarships. If you have questions, come and see Ms. Cuffee-Gray when she is in College in Caf every day, or ask your guidance counselor where the bin of summer opportunities is located.
  • Tickets for Spring Awakening, this year's ARHS musical, are available at all lunches starting this Thursday!  Tickets are $10 for students and staff; $5 free/reduced lunch tickets are available by speaking directly with Mr. Bechtold.  All tickets are also available online!  Check the weblink on any poster around the school, or scan the QR code in the front lobby to find them.  If you want to get in for free, see Mr. Bechtold to volunteer as an usher.  Nearly 15% of the ARHS student body is involved in this massive rock musical - which means you likely know at least a few people to cheer on.  See you there!
  • A reminder for ALL STUDENTS about passes to the library: To come to the library during the academic day, you must bring an individual pass (i.e. one pass per student) with an academic teacher's signature, an assignment, the date/time, and your name printed legibly. This includes lunch; passes from Directed Study also need a double signature. Thank you for helping us keep the library a safe, calm, and productive student space! Questions, comments, and feedback? See Ms. Stocker in the library to let us know!
  • The Massachusetts League of Women Voters is sponsoring a Teen Voting Rights Challenge open to all high school students,  Answer the question "Should 16-year-olds have the right to vote?" in a 30 second video and you could win $500.  Go to www.lwvma.org for more information and to upload your video.
  • It's not too late to join the ARHS Outing Club! We will be learning to rock climb at Hampshire College this Monday 3/9.  All are welcome.  See Ms. Dorsey in room 227 for additional details!
