  • SPRING AWAKENING is here!  The biggest performance event of the year at ARHS lands on the ARHS stage this Thursday through Saturday evening at 7:30, and a Saturday 2:00 matinee.  Especially if you've never seen a musical at ARHS, this electric, intense, and beautiful show is not one to miss.  Tickets are on sale online (see the posters around school) and at all lunches; free/reduced lunch tickets are also available directly through Mr. Bechtold.
  • In search of student musicians for ARHS Jazz Band next year - especially guitarists! If you play guitar, bass, keys, drums, saxophone, trumpet, or trombone, consider coming to audition! Audition materials are on the file cabinet in room 20 (band/orchestra room), and auditions are after school on Thursday, April 2. Email nyek@arps.org for more info.
  •  All Seniors who plan on attending the Reality Fair, the deadline to submit your online information and turn in your permission slip is this Thursday (3/12). If the online form is not filled out, and the permission slip is not turned in by Thursday, you will not be able to attend the Reality Fair on March 19th. Please let Mr. Sadiq know if you need another permission slip or the link to the online form. Thanks

  • FBLA is selling 2020s ‘Canes for the Cure shirts during lunch this week. The shirts cost $15 and the profits go to Cooley Dickinson's cancer research 
  • Pineapple Upside Down Cake Day is Tomorrow. Please support the POCU Bake Sale after school.
  • Do you enjoy working with children? Like the outdoors and exploring nature? Farm and Garden Camp is a in Amherst is now accepting applications for Paid Counselor in Training positions. Applications are in the counseling office (room 101). Though the deadline to apply is May 1, the camp director encourages early applications.
  • Ready for summer?? The counseling staff has created a file crate with information on many summer opportunities for ARHS students to check out. Included are jobs, travel experiences, trainings,  internships, enrichment opportunities, and pre-college programs in all kinds of areas of study (writing, reading, art, science, technology, etc). Come check it out before or after school or during your lunch block (not during any classes). 
  • The Massachusetts League of Women Voters is sponsoring a Teen Voting Rights Challenge open to all high school students,  Answer the question "Should 16-year-olds have the right to vote?" in a 30 second video and you could win $500.  Go to www.lwvma.org for more information and to upload your video.
  • Have you ever held a paint brush?  Do you like free snacks?  Come help us paint some BIG signs for Fort River School's upcoming math night!  Come after school to Mr. Sears' art room on Tomorrow, March 11.  We will be painting fun, colorful signs and we need your creativity!  Questions?  See Mr. Friedman in room 221 or email friedmag@arps.org
