  • Wanting to represent the class of 2023 and ARHS? Well, the Class of 2023’s Council now has a merchandise store open and ready for business! But, the store is only open until December 24th, so make sure to order soon. Tons of variety between clothing items themselves, such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, and more, as well as design ranging from specific class of 2023 merch to general Amherst Regional High School. Profits allow our class to have more flexibility regarding class-wide activities. Make sure to order now!   •  It is time to sign-up for the  American Mathematics Competition (AMC) that takes place Thursday, February 4th.   It will be taken on-line at home and a guardian will need to be available to proctor.  This is the first in a series of math contests that can lead to the International Mathematical Olympiad.  It is a 25 question, 75-minute multiple choice test.  There are two levels of math contests, one for 9th and 10th grade students with Algebra and Geometry experience, and one for students with experience in Algebra II and beyond (grades 9 through 12).   Go to this link to see the types of questions:   AMC 10/12 Practice Questions.   Please sign up on this sheet.  If you have questions, please email Ms. Mudie at mudiej@arps.org.  You will be sent more information once you have signed up.
  • Calling all ARHS writers! The Minks Literary Magazine is open and accepting all student writing! Send your poetry and prose, essays and anecdotes to minks@arps.org and your writing could be published in this year's edition of The Minks.
  • ARPS will be offering the official State Seal of Biliteracy to graduating seniors in spring of 2021, as well as Biliteracy Pathway Awards to students in grades 6 and 8. The Seal of Biliteracy is awarded by the state department of education and local school districts to recognize students who attain proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing), as well as one or more additional languages learned in school or another setting, as measured by standardized language assessments. This recognition will be included with students’ high school transcripts and diploma, and serves to certify attainment of a student’s biliteracy for employers and universities.

  • French Movie Night! On Friday, December 18th at 7:00pm the French Club will be hosting a French Movie Night! Join us the night before the break to watch the film “Les Parapluies de Cherbourg” or in English “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” a film filmed in the 1960s with a very famous soundtrack! The film is in French but with English subtitles, so even if you are not taking French feel free to join us!

And please feel free to spread the word around, we’re not limiting attendance to French students and parents, you can invite anyone you would like!

  • Students: Struggling to find motivation? Need a hand getting started with a task? Looking for a new coping strategy to help during a tough moment? 
    Drop in to the CopingCafe on Tuesdays during A or C period! The CopingCafe is an open virtual space for ARHS students. Drop in for some brief support, resources or a place to talk through something before getting back to class. ARHS Mental Health staff will be there ready to connect, BREATHE, problem solve and help you navigate!  Use google meet code CopingCafe
  • Sign up for a spot in one of our Skills Group- Round 2 now starting in January. Join us to talk through important topics, boost skills and connect with classmates! Groups are tackling issues like Stress Management and Organization. See our flyer for details.

  • Are you a senior in need of a portrait? Yearbook student staff members will be available after school to do outdoor portraits from 3-4pm on Wednesdays and Fridays until the December break. Last date in December is the 18th. 3 seniors per session- to sign up, email Miss Garrity at garrityc@arps.org!
