  • BAKE SALE TOMORROW MORNING BEFORE SCHOOL 7 - 7:30! Make sure to arrive early, sales end promptly at 7:30. Warm cider, muffins, scones, and more will be available for students and staff. Cider will be $1, though if you bring a cup it will only be 75¢ (change and small bills appreciated). Help support the Environmental Action Club!
  • Seal of Biliteracy: Did you miss the info meeting? No worries. Come pick up an application form in room 147. You should submit your Application form by January 15. Contact Ms Cissé if you have any questions.
  • Juniors and Seniors who plan to pursue careers as physicians and who have strong science skills are encouraged to apply for the Hampshire District Medical Society Doctor for a Day program. Selected students will have a chance to share the expertise of a physician mentor in the daily practice of medicine through a day-long shadowing program. The deadline to apply is January 30th. Applications are available in Guidance.
  • Attention NHS members: There will be a 10-15 minute meeting this Friday 1/10 in room 117 at 2:30. If you cannot make it to the meeting, please contact me at Clarkb@arps.org for missed information.

  • Are you interested in getting your writing published? Whether it's an essay, a short story, a poem, or any other piece of writing, the Minks editors would love to receive your work! Whether it was written for school or just your personal work, all student submissions are accepted! Email your writing to minks@arps.org, or share it with minks@arps.org on Google Docs.
  • Please come to the Dance Theater Ensemble final concert is TOMORROW in the high school auditorium at 7:00. Tickets for students are $3 and adults $5. Come see what other audiences are raving about!
  • Sign Up for FASFA Assistance Here at ARHS. We added a 2nd FAFSA Day, TODAY January 8 from 6 – 8 pm -   Get professional assistance from area college financial aid reps to complete your FAFSA. Check your financial aid deadlines for your schools, as they are coming up. Please fill the house and make sure you're eligible for both need and merit based financial aid (note that some local scholarships require FAFSA completion) Register at this link! https://www.masfaa.org/fafsa-day-register/  Spread the word!!
  • Calling all students!  Do you have a great idea for an activity or innovation that will benefit the ARHS community? Need money to make it happen? The ARHS PGO offers $200 grants to students twice a year & the next deadline is coming up soon.The PGO has helped to the Cambodian Heritage mural, instruments for Summit Academy, water bottle fillers, and more! You will find the current application form on the clubs page of the ARHS website. The SPRING deadline for completed applications is Friday, February 14th!
  • It is time to sign-up for the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) that takes place Thursday, January 30th.  For more details, visit https://artofproblemsolving.com/wiki/index.php?title=American_Mathematics_Competitions. To sign-up see your math teacher or come to the math office room 221.  The deadline for signing-up is Friday, January 10th.  There are a limited number of slots so first come, first serve.   There will be study sessions held on Tuesdays starting today in room 301.
  • Are you interested in spending more time outside, meeting new friends, and learning new outdoor skills?  Join the ARHS Outing Club!  The first meeting will be on Tuesday January 21 at 3pm in room 227.  All are welcome.  See Ms. Dorsey if you have any questions.
  • Scholarship Opportunity Class of 2021 & 2022 Students with a GPA of 2.5-4.0. The Christian A. Herter Memorial Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to Commonwealth of Massachusetts students who demonstrate academic promise and aspirations for higher education.  This is an extremely competitive scholarship that requires significant extracurricular and personal accomplishments, having overcome significant obstacles, two teacher recommendations, a school counselor recommendation and an essay. Due February 7th.   Applicants must also demonstrate hardships/obstacles overcome and accomplishments in the following areas: 1) Special Skills 2) Leadership Qualities 3) Relative Maturity 4) Personal Difficulties 5) Motivation 6) Enthusiasm 7) Capacity for Growth 8) Academic Promise 9) Community Outreach and Involvement.
