Why has the U.S. refused to formally apologize and pay compensation for its treatment of African-Americans? What are the moral, ethical, and practical considerations associated with a state apology and reparations, and what impact would these reparative processes have on addressing historical grievances? Come listen to Dr. Theodore R. Johnson, a public policy expert on race and social justice, and Dr. Ali Aslam, Assistant Professor of Politics at Mount Holyoke, explore these questions and more on Wednesday, April 3rd, 7-9pm at Edwards Church in Northampton.
