PSAT REGISTRATION

The PSAT will be given here at ARHS on Wednesday, October 11, at 8:00 a.m.  To register, sign up in the Guidance Office beginning Wednesday, September 6, through Friday, September 29th.  The fee is $17 (cash or check payable to Amherst Regional high school), and fee waivers are available to income eligible 11th grade students only.  Payment is required at the time of registration.

We strongly urge juniors to take the test.  It's a great practice for the SAT which most of them will take in the spring.  Sophomores may take the PSAT if they wish (however, there are no fee waivers available to 10th grade students).

First meeting of the ARHS Outdoor Program today 3 pm in room 225.  Snacks provided, no commitment or experience necessary.  Learn the difference between a bowtie and a bowline!  Speak to Mr. Kropf if you have any questions.

What the heck is DACA? Who is Nikki Haley? Are we on the brink of a nuclear war with North Korea? Come to the first meeting of Model UN today [Thursday] in room 323 at 3:00 to explore these questions, and to learn why international politics might become your favorite contact sport. All are welcome. There will be snacks. Questions, ask Tristan Whalen.

The registration deadline for the October 7th SAT with no late fee is Friday, September 8th.  Please register at collegeboard.org.  Get a fee waiver from Mrs. Cappelli if you are registered for the free/reduced price meals program.

ARHS GIRLS! Computer programming can be applied to all sorts of subjects, from the humanities to engineering to the sciences. If you are interested in learning Python programming and working collaboratively with female peers, come to an informational meeting on Thursday, 9/7, after school in Mr. Young's room (next to 141). Bring a friend!  If you can't make it, but are interested, please e-mail Neosha at: naasha2006@gmail.com

Do you find the lunch room too noisy?  Are you not scheduled with any of your friends for lunch? Would you be interested in meeting new people?   Why not try out new lunch space available during E lunches in room 160, right around the corner from the cafe in the English hallway.   All are welcome! Check it out.
