  • Schools for Africa will have a meeting Tuesday, September 24 after school in room  147. New members are always welcome. See you all there!
  • THE HOMECOMING DANCE IS BACK! Show your school spirit by joining us on Saturday night, September 28th from 7-10 PM at the high school. Everyone’s welcome to come, but this year, Girls Ask! Tickets will be sold starting Monday during lunch. They are $8 during lunch and $10 at the door. Bring back the Naysh!   • Are you interested in reading, writing, or helping to produce the Minks, the high school’s literary magazine? If so, come to the first meeting of the ARHS Literary Club this Monday, September 23rd at 2:30 in room 174, Mr. Despres’ room! You’ll get a feel for what the club will be like, and get to hear about all of the fun projects we have planned for this year- plus, we’ll have snacks!
  • Join area admissions professionals and get clear about college!

    Amherst Admissions and Financial Aid Officers join ARHS to review the ins and outs of ED/EA.

    9/26 Admissions Professional Panel 7:00-8:30 HS Library. Light refreshments.

    Hear about the admissions process from experts in the field. Smith College, Trinity College, UMASS Amherst, HCC & GCC reps will share important information about researching, building a list and applying to college. Apelila Joseph from Springfield Public School’s Springfield Promise and ARHS Alum Tenzin Dekyong will speak about financial aid.

    Open to all ARHS students and families. Get a head start or a refresher. Seniors and their caregivers who didn’t meet with Myra Ross in the spring are strongly encouraged to attend.
  • Spirit/Homecoming week is here!
    We will have a bonfire(HURRIFLAME)!!! this Thursday from 8-9 pm
    Tomorrow is Fancy Day - please dress up - no sweats or t-shirts (especially because it is also school picture day)
    Wednesday is International Day - Wear two colors that represent a country of your choice OR cultural dress
    Thursday is jersey day - Wear a jersey with your favorite team name, brand name or symbol
    Friday is Hurricane day - Wear maroon AND white
    Each day you adhere to the theme, you can earn a point for your grade. Come to the cafeteria during your lunch to be counted. The winning grade will receive a pizza party after school on Friday.  For an additional point, please bring a non perishable food item to donate to the Amherst Survival Center. Questions, please see Mrs. Haygood or Ms. Sulikowski.
  • Tomorrow is school picture day.  Please remember to bring your order form with you to the photographer if you wish to order a picture package.
