  • Members of the Class of 2020 will wash your car this Saturday anytime from 9-1pm at Jones Group Realtors across from the ARHS track.  Please support the Class of 2020 and get your car washed on Saturday.
  • Any hall locker that does not have a lock on it will be secured with a school lock at the end of the day on Monday, Sept. 23.  If you want to use your locked this year, please put a lock on it.
  • YEARBOOK NEWS!
    -The first meeting of Yearbook Club is Thursday, September 19th from 3-3:45 in Room 107 in Guidance! If you have interest in helping create this yearbook, please come by! No experience necessary!

    -Yearbook is seeking a second yearbook advisor! If you are interested, contact Crystal Garrity! 
  • Do you play an instrument or sing? Do you enjoy creating or playing short pieces of music? Well then, you're in luck! We're creating a piece including artists from a variety of backgrounds and the music will accompany live dance.  If you're interested contacted me by Sept. 18 and there are no restrictions on the genre of music. email larnerma@arps.org
  • Amherst College's Executive Chef, Chef Jamil, will be sampling a new Healthy Breakfast recipe today during all lunch periods. This week, he will be featuring a Veggie Frittata, made with local produce! All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to try a sample and provide feedback.

  • Spirit/Homecoming week is fast approaching.  We have a number of things happening.
    We kick it off with a party on Sunday September 22, 4;30 here at ARHS.
    We will have a bonfire(HURRIFLAME)!!!on Thursday the 26th from 8-9
    During the week, we will have an array of athletic contests each and every day.
    We also have daily themes:
    - Monday is colors day.  Each class is wear color:9th grade - maroon, 10th grade-black, 11th grade-white, 12th grade rainbow.

    -Tuesday is Fancy Day - please dress up - no sweats or tshirts (especially because it is also school picture day)

    -Wednesday is International Day - Wear two colors that represent a country of your choice OR cultural dress

    -Thursday is jersey day - Wear a jersey with your favorite team name, brand name or symbol

    -Friday is Hurricane day - Wear maroon AND white
    Each day you adhere to the theme, you can earn a point for your grade,come to the cafeteria during your lunch to be counted. You will receive a point each day you match the theme. At the end of the week, the winning grade will receive a pizza party after school on Friday.
    For an additional point, please bring a non perishable item for a donation to the Amherst Survival Center.
