  • It's Wellness Wednesday.. on Thursday?!!

Today's tip is: Be Compassionate towards yourself!

Yep. The Wednesday Wellness tip is coming to you today on Thursday because, well,  we forgot to get it in on time. Can you relate? Perhaps you've missed a deadline? Forgotten an important meeting or activity? Failed at something?  We've all done it or been there. How does that feel? What's it like for you?  It can be easy to get down on yourself and even start to feel negative and let that negativity start taking over. When that starts to happen, there are ways we can disrupt it. Compassion is one tool.

Finding ways to have compassion towards yourself is essential! What is compassion? Being kind, having empathy, being thoughtful,  patient. These are adjectives that come to mind as we define compassion.
How can you do this? It can be as simple as using self talk or a mantra to yourself like "I'm doing the best I can" or "well that wasn't so great and I can figure out my way through this" or taking a minute to do something that brings you joy, helps you laugh or helps you find patience or calm. Some people call a supportive or compassionate friend or do something nice for someone else.

What ways can you find compassion for yourself? Write them down, practice one today!
  • The Environmental Action Club’s tree planting event has finally been wrapped up.  Thank you to the people who volunteered and bought trees for the Tree-Plenish planting event!  It would not have been possible without all your work!  At the end of the event, we sold 216 trees.  Again, thank you for participating and/or buying trees for this event!
