  • Seniors who have not yet met with Ms. Cuffee-Gray! Come to Guidance and schedule a time to meet with her. Finish one of the two Seniors Surveys and make it happen.Your Friendly Neighborhood College and Career Advisor wants to have a conversation about "Life After ARHS" with you! College, Certificate from Community College, Gap Year, Americorps placement, military, employment, confused? Come and let her help you think about your next steps. (Psst..if she doesn't hear from you, she is going to find you and schedule a time with you in small groups starting next week!)
  • Monday College Essay Support - From 2:30-3:30pm in room  Room 141.Come and get your essays and supplemental essays done, after school with Amanda Lewis and Deidre Cuffee-Gray. Common App and scholarship essay support as well!  
  • FAFSA Day AGAIN! ARHS is hosting it's 2nd night for FAFSA assistance on January 8th at 6:30pm. Save the date! Set up your FSA ID PRIOR to the event - it will be easier! https://www.masfaa.org/fafsa-day-register/

                      Students can find Deidre Cuffee-Gray, the ARHS College & Career Advisor, for informal  conversations about college, career and life after ARHS.

  • The Student Advisory Council will meet at 2:30 on Friday in Mr. Thompson's room (room 239). 
  • The Theater Company is continuing a series of dialogues around race, inclusion, and access in the theater program that began last year - and we'd love you to join us!  Whether you're active in theater already or have never set a foot on the ARHS stage, we'd love you to be a part of it.  Stop by the auditorium after school this Friday for meaningful conversation, project planning, and a plethora of Trader Joe's snacks with your friends and peers.  See Mr. Bechtold, Serik White, or Kabir Narayanan if you'd like some details.  See you there!
  • We need to make a video promoting our tech classes for ALL students. The second meeting will be TODAY at 2:30 in Mr. Young’s room (202). It’s OK if you missed the first meeting. Everyone is welcome. If you have previous video production experience, even better. We plan to do the majority of the filming at this meeting.
  • Interested in attending the football game on Saturday? Please sign-up for the fan bus in the guidance office!
  • JETS Club: Last chance to sign up for the TEAM+S Competition. Pick up a short form from the bulletin board in the Science Hallway (across from Room 218). Fill it out and return it to Ms. Blauner in Room 223 after school by TODAY.
  • JETS Club Leadership: Students interested in being a team captain or just helping with the planning should come to a mandatory meeting after school TODAY in Room 223. We will begin forming the teams.
  • Did you know? The average amount of blood a person loses during their period in a lifetime is equal to the blood of four adults?  Women's Rights Club is running a TAMPON AND PAD drive all month! All donations will benefit the Amherst Survival Center so that hygiene products can be available to all that need it! Look for the signs and boxes located at the school to donate what you can.Donations should be in sealed boxes or packages. Drive will be up until the end of the month.  
  • The Guidance Office would like to remind the community that ALL students should be signing in to the FRONT of Guidance with Miss Garrity when they visit. We have a new electronic sign in sheet to reduce the amount of paper the office is using and to better support everyone who accesses the Guidance Office resources! 
  • French Dinner! Get tickets now for the French dinner on December 10th! Come enjoy a night of exciting cultural experience and delicious Francophone cuisine presented by the ARHS French students and the French Club. The cultural show will include poetry, music, singing and more! Tickets are $10.00 for students, $15.00 for adults, and free for children under five!   • Not school sponsored:Want to learn about the climate crisis and the climate strike in Springfield on Dec. 6th? Stop by the table during lunch today to sign up for or discuss the strike, as well as learn about one of the drivers of the climate fight, a national youth-led movement called Sunrise Movement.
