  • Anti-Racist Art and Photography Exhibition and Contest Deadline Approaching! This is a reminder to all students and staff that the deadline for submissions for the Anti-Racist Art and Photography Exhibition and Contest is Monday April 26th! Please do not hesitate to reach out to Erin Edinson with any questions you may have.

  • Ms. Upchurch is looking for students interested in participating in our 1 semester Adapted PE Class next school year ‘21-’22!

This is an inclusive Physical Education experience for students in the Pathways to Independence Program and students attending general education classes at ARHS.  Following the Unified Sports Model -- students who train together and play together develop friendships and a deeper understanding of one another.  The goal is for each student completing this experience (as an ALPS in this class) to be a “buddy” to a student in Pathways to Independence where you assist them while playing a wide variety of games and activities.  Benefits to you? New friends, new opportunities, and stronger relationships! If interested, complete the attached Google Form by Wednesday 4/28!

  • If you play or have ever played a band instrument and are interested in playing in Wind Ensemble next year (and would not have already been in it this year - you're already in!), email Ms. Nye for details at nyek@arps.org
If you play trumpet, saxophone, trombone, bass, or piano - consider trying out jazz band next year! Email Ms. Nye for details at nyek@arps.org

  • Hi, my name is McKenzie Fitz, I’m an Asian American senior at ARHS and I am collaborating with fellow high school students Monica Cage, Petua Mukimba, Phoenix Ferreira Ford, Addison Lepak, Fatma Abdel-Maksoud, Courtnegail Rose,Tulsi Patel and Talvin Dhingra. We are creating a 10 -15 minute video capturing and amplifying the voices of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. We welcome any student who identifies as Asian to join us in this project and who would be willing to speak about their own personal experiences of racism within this community. Anyone who would like to be involved by being interviewed or being a possible video editor, please reach out to us before April break. Please reach out to McKenzie Fitz at fitzmg@arps.org, Monica Cage at cagemh@arps.org, or Addison Lepak at lepakm@arps.org.

  • You may enjoy listening to or reading the news, but have you read what ARHS reporters have to say? Check out our amazing school newspaper, The Graphic--produced by students in Journalistic Writing class--to learn about stopping Asian Hate, our permanent principal Mr. Sadiq; student voices on mental health, vaccines, virtual school, MCAS, sports recruiting, and working during a pandemic, and tons of other features and club news. It's a great way to spend your lunch break. Also, please share with family, so they can learn about what's happening at our school! You can find The Graphic at thegraphic.arps.org and it's also permanently housed under the "ABOUT" tab on the ARHS website.
