- National Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 and ends on October 15. In honor a Fun Fact about Hispanic Heritage will be placed in the Afternoon Announcements.. We will also be sharing announcements submitted by students about influential Latinx People.

- On the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month we would like to introduce you to Carmen Yulin Cruz, who was mayor of San Juan, PR, when Hurricane Maria hit the island. She spoke truth to power and the world, "Somebody help us: We are dying here!" During the critical days and weeks immediately after the hurricane, Yulin organized many people and worked tirelessly to help residents not only of San Juan, but also of other municipalities throughout the island. Carmen Yulin is now residing in the Pioneer Valley, and was the main speaker on September 23 at the raising of the Puerto Rican flag in front of Amherst Town Hall. Submitted by Ms.Mari Vicente
- Students participating in PSAT testing tomorrow - please remember to bring a calculator that you usually use here at school. The calculator cannot have a touch screen or stylus or connect to the internet. Check your emails to verify your testing room, seat assignment and review the logistics of the testing. Arrive promptly at 7:25 and report directly to your testing room.
- An info meeting on Auditions and Tech Meetings for the Theater Company's December plays are coming up on Wednesday, October 20!
