E-Period Lunch

  • Today there will be a 5 minute Advisory Period at the end of day where students will receive their report cards.
  • It's time to gear up for the 35th Annual ARHS Student-Written Play Festival!  Come to a short informative meeting this Thursday at 2:45 in the auditorium to learn the ins and outs of submitting 1-minute and 10-minute plays for this year's May event.  No experience needed!  See Mr. Bechtold for details.
  • This Valentines day, celebrate someone sweet with a special treat. Starting Today, February 10th, Candygrams will be sold by the Class of 2020 at all lunches for a dollar each. Write a small note and send some sweets to someone you want to appreciate this Valentines day. 
  • Are you a Junior or Senior who may be interested in attending Springfield Technical Community College or Holyoke Community College and want to learn more? If so, we are taking a field trip to tour both campuses and learn about admissions, services, programs, etc. The trip will take place on Friday, 3/13/20. Pizza and water will be served for lunch or you can bring a cold lunch. Permission slips can be picked up in the guidance office and need to be returned to Ms. Garrity in Guidance right before break on  FRIDAY, February 14, THE LATEST. 
  • We are currently seeking students who would like to be involved in a filmmaking project over February Break.  ARHS students will write and produce a short film about the impact of Social Media on teens. Professional filmmakers and Health professionals will support this project.  The project is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and students will receive a $200 stipend at the completion of the project.  Meetings will be at ARHS. f you are interested, the first meeting is February 11 at 2:30pm in Room 114. You must be available to work all of February break. Please see Assistant Principal Gromacki and fill out an application form at www.bit.ly/ARHSsocial  Space is limited so fill out an application today! 
  • Voter Registration cards will be handed out during lunch this week. Anyone who is a U.S. citizen and will be 18 before March 3rd must register by February 12th to participate in the upcoming presidential primary. Any U.S. citizen who is at least 16 years old is also eligible to pre-register. Stop by the voter registration table in the cafeteria this week or contact Mr. Sadiq (sadiqt@arps.org) or Ms. Stocker (stockere@arps.org) with any questions.
