For the Class of 2022 - many, many selective colleges remain test optional for this admissions season. Some colleges and universities are test-optional for the duration due to philosophical reasons centering around access and equity (UC System). This is a genuine reality, meaning you can choose whether or not to submit standardized tests to the schools that you are applying to. If you are interested in taking the SAT, you can sign up on College Board - https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/ dates-deadlines. College Bound and College Curious juniors considering selective college admissions AND interested in taking the SAT in the spring of junior year, or fall of senior year, can consider taking the PSAT in October. There are many selective colleges that are genuinely test optional both before and after the reality of COVID - meaning that applicants can apply without submitting SAT or ACT scores.
