- National Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 and ends on October 15. In honor a Fun Fact about Hispanic Heritage will be placed in the Afternoon Announcements.. We will also be sharing announcements submitted by students about influential Latinx People.
- Today's Fact- The share of U.S. Hispanics with college experience has increased since 2010. The number of Latinos enrolled in college also increased from 2010 to 2019, from 2.9 million to 3.6 million.
Attendance Tip of the Day #4
To EXCUSE an ABSENCE one of the following must be completed:
Parents or guardians can call the attendance line (362-1718) on the day of the absence by 10:30AM, OR
The student must bring a note signed by a parent or guardian within 48 hours after returning to school
Seniors: Cap & Gown measurements will be taken next Tuesday and Wednesday, October 5 &6 during all lunches. This is the only time the company will be here for measurements, so be sure to take care of this important step. The cost for cap & gowns this year is $19 and they will be set up outside the cafeteria. Extra tassels and 2022 keychains will also be sold at that time at a cost of $4 and $7 respectively.
Seniors who are enrolled in honors English classes in second semester must complete the honors project if they apply to college with honors English on their transcript. Please check your schedule to make sure you are enrolled in CP if you wish to be enrolled in CP or honors if you wish to complete the AP portfolio in English. You may not drop the honors designation after you apply to college with it on your transcript. Any changes should be made now with your guidance counselor before applications are sent out!
