  • National Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 and ends on October 15. In honor a Fun Fact about Hispanic Heritage will be placed in the Afternoon Announcements.. We will also be sharing announcements submitted by students about influential Latinx People.

  • Looking for a tutor for a STEM subject?                                                                                  ARHS is launching our first ever virtual STEM tutoring center. The Amherst Educational Foundation has provided a grant so that high school students who need support with math, science, computers, engineering can request after school tutoring sessions that will take place via Google Meet.  These sessions can be scheduled after school up until 9pm.  If you have any questions, please contact the STEM Tutoring Center coordinator Ms. Vanessa Meikle  meiklev@arps.org Complete this link to request a tutoring sessionTutoring Sign-up Form

  • Students, have you been feeling stressed? The ARHS "Stress Less" group for students starts next week and runs for 7 weeks.  The aim is to boost skills in managing mild/moderate anxiety. Students will learn ways to identify and cope with stress and anxiety. Hannah Caruso in the counseling department leads this group and it meets during the school day.The group will meet weekly on Tuesdays starting Sept. 28, the time will rotate so you will not miss the same class each week. To sign up, please come to guidance and give your name to Ms. Garrity at the front desk.
  • Last week, France canceled a gala celebrating the long standing friendship between themselves and the United States due to their anger over the US making a deal with Australia. What deal did they make? Write your answer on a slip of paper and put it in the submission box located in Ms. Bourbeau’s room (325). All correct answers will be entered into a drawing with a chance to win an exciting prize from ARHS Model UN. And, to delve into more fun and fascinating topics in global affairs, debate in a low stakes environment, attend engaging conferences, and join a great community, come to Model UN’s first meeting this Wednesday at 3:45 in Ms. Bourbeau’s room (325). There will be snacks! Even if you’ve never come before, we’d love to see you come this Wednesday!   • People Of Color United (POCU) will have it's first meeting Today, September 21 @ 3:45 in the cafeteria (outdoors adjacent to the cafeteria if weather permits). All are welcome.
